You won’t want to miss this time as we pray and cast vision for continuous worship and prayer in Philadelphia! For more information and to register visit http://phillytod.org My apologies for a slight delay in posting this. I ended the tour and jumped right back into the normal intensity of life. Also, allow me to welcome any Radiant (Twitter/Facebook) followers as I know Richy has been linking my blog. For more information on me and this site please check out the about section. I would love for you to keep up with my journey in life, ministry, and professional media. Day 10 Recap and Final Thoughts The last day! Wow, in some ways it seems as if our first night in Detroit was ages ago, but in other ways it seems like it was yesterday. We started the last day back at My Fathers House for their Sunday morning service. From there we traveled to Global Awakening in the Harrisburg, PA area. The folks there had just come off a conference and were hungry for a refreshing in the Spirit. It was an enjoyable and laid back end of the tour. I was on familiar ground using their Yamaha M7CL mixer which just brought me back to my days at IHOP. It was a great evening that came to an end way to fast. For me it was the end of the tour. Jaclyn met me there and we drove home afterward, as we are only an hour and a half from there. The rest of the team began their journey the next day back to Kansas City. As for the entire tour, it was one of the best 10 days of my life. I couldn’t think of a better group of people to run with as we move out in ministry across the nation! Radiant 2.0 (as we dubbed it) was awesome. Having been to over 10 churches in the last two weeks my heart burns to see the presence of God come in a fresh way to our nation. It is evident that even in the most seemingly desolate places there is arising a hunger for the true “unreligious” presence of God! I am excited for what God has in the future, as a big part of my vision is using digital media (live sound, audio recording/producing, video, and design) as a tool for anointed ministry. I love working with audio, video, and design type things in general, but my heart burns when these are tools to see people saved, delivered, healed, and brought into the presence of God. A final set of pictures for you to enjoy… Day 8 and 9 Recap Day 8 was really the day we all proved ourselves on this tour. This day brought the longest drive, from Northern New Jersey to Fredericksburg Virginia. We took a brief detour to visit one of the member’s family that was only a few minutes out of the way. Then things got a little crazy when the GPS all of a sudden put us in an hour and forty-five minutes of traffic around Washington DC. So between leaving late, multiple stops, and DC traffic, we ended up showing up at the Prayer Furnace with only an hour and 15 minutes to spare before start time. The team hit this one out of the park as we did our whole setup and started sound check in under an hour! Thanks a ton to the local folks who helped us unload the trailer, we wouldn’t have done it without you. The actual meeting was phenomenal! We had some full out breakthrough in prophetic ministry and healing. There were knees healed and many delivered and refreshed. I personally was touched in a powerful way that night. I’ll possibly write in more detail on that in the future. Overall, a fantastic night and what a great group of people (at the Prayer Furnace) laboring for breakthrough in the Fredericksburg/DC area. From Virginia we headed back to (my home state) Pennsylvania. On a side note, I had no idea how beautiful the south central parts of Pennsylvania are this time of year. We ministered Saturday night at My Fathers House church in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. From my end of the spectrum, this was the best night of the tour sound/music wise. The team was solid and moved very well into the spontaneous and prophetic. Sound was awesome that night! I tapped most of our system into the churches installed system. I have to say, the QSC K8 main speakers really blow me away. For 8 inch woofers these things are crazy! So we used our K8’s and subs and patched a send into their installed system. It really helped round the room out and provided a crisp and full sound experience! Enough of that sound talk anyway. Ministry was great that night and I look forward to developing connections I made there. Enjoy the photos. Day 6 and 7 Recap Hello Philadelphia! We ministered at True Vine Community Church in Northeast Philadelphia on Wednesday night. For me, it was an awesome connection and more confirmation that my heart burns for the city. There is such a genuine hunger for a powerful, transforming, healing, and moving God! People in the city are sick of religion, and that was evident in our meeting Wednesday. Having now been in seven different churches, many in different cities, it is obvious that God is stirring up a hunger for true Biblical Christianity across the nation. However, in traveling across the east coast this week I have noticed that while ultimately God is doing one work, there are many different needs and strategies. It is such a joy to know that you are part of what God is doing across the globe. Many people don’t connect their walk with the Lord to the grand picture, but this tour so far for me has been a huge reminder of that! Being so close to home I took the opportunity Wednesday night to stay at home for the night. It was a joy to see Jaclyn in the middle of the tour and to sleep in my own bed. From Philly we traveled to Vernon, NJ. There we ministered at an old hay and cow barn in a beautiful area with folks from various churches in the region. There was a strong ministry time and a clear imparting of God’s word to them. On another note, the sound in this place was awesome! It was basically all wood with a beam structure that provided awesome trapping. The sound was almost too dead. We were also trying out the new QSC K series 8 inch mains. We added those to our subs and 2×12 cabs which provided a really clean top end. It was one of the better events sound-wise. Today we travel to Fredericksburg, Virginia, the longest drive of the trip. We finish the tour back in Pennsylvania on Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy the Photos. Day 4 and 5 Recap It really feels like a tour now, sick people, late nights, lots of energy drinks, and a ton of fun! We left Detroit for Canton on Monday where we connected with an awesome host group for lunch. There is a group of folks in Canton who are really going after the things of the Lord in a place where there is a great amount of resistance to the move of the Spirit. That basically sums up the meeting that night as well. It was an awesome time of worship and ministry, but the highlight was the intercession for breakthrough in the region. It has been interesting so far on this tour to see how in each city the Lord highlights something that we need to accomplish. Everything from repentance, to intercession for breakthrough, to personal prophetic ministry, etc. From Canton, OH we traveled to Ridgway, PA, a small rural town about two hours northeast of Pittsburgh. There we connected with Awakening Alliance Church and their youth group. The meeting was held at The River in Ridgway, an awesome new church plant. Also in attendance were other regional leaders, parents, and young people. Personally, I got the chance to work with the new Allen & Heath iLive-T112, thanks to the awesome folks at CatchFire Media Solutions. Aside from great sound, the Lord came and I believe introduced a new level of His Spirit to the teenagers there. But the main highlight was the prophetic ministry over the local pastors and leaders. There was a clear oppression toward the things of the Spirit there and I believe the Lord used us to help bring a shift to Ridgway last night. So day 4 and 5 are in the books and we are off to Philadelphia tonight! We have a few more events in Pennsylvania and I look forward to what God will do the remainder of the trip. Enjoy the pictures! Day 2 and 3 Recap I haven’t yet made up for being awake close to 24 hours straight on day 1, but day 2 and 3 have been phenomenal. We hosted a worship breakout session at Detroit IHOPE on Saturday afternoon and then broke down all the gear and headed up to Flint, MI. Richy brought an excellent teaching on “breaker” worship. I’ll post the mp3 soon. Once in Flint we met with out hosts from Eagles Nest Church for dinner and setup. Sunday morning brought what was (and will be) probably the most physically challenging day of the tour. We ministered at Eagles Nest for their morning service. The Lord really brought a clear message that they would be a beacon of hope in a city of despair and that the harvest is ripe there! After service we broke down and headed back to the Detroit area for a service at Detroit Revival Church. What a day! The team stepped out into some awesome prophetic worship and ministry time. A major highlight was that God is restoring Kingdom dreamers and messengers for revival in the city! My overall impression of Detroit was that there at one time was such pride, innovation, and creativity in this city. There were big dreamers here at one point. As of late there has been such despair and depression. God clearly highlighted that he is restoring hope and has big dreams for Detroit! We head off to Canton, Ohio and then PENNSYLVANIA!!! Enjoy the photos… Day 1 Recap I was up at 3:30 am for my flight to Detroit, where I met up with the rest of the team who had already been on the road a day and a half. From the airport we drove to IHOPE Detroit for setup and rehearsal. There I had the opportunity to get aquainted with the team and the gear. Of the six other people on the trip, I knew only two of them and had never worked with their gear prior. It was such a blessing to have some breathing room on the front end before jumping into 11 events in a row! The service Friday night was fantastic. Sound went well and the Lord showed up with restoration of hope and a message of “it’s ok!” On a personal note, I realized about half way through the service that I was in Detroit, MI. I totally forgot about all the recent turmoil in the natural. Detroit was hit hard by the economic downturn and the auto industry decline. In my spirit I knew the Lord was giving me a larger burden for Detroit and I sensed strongly an oppressive, hopeless spirit over the city. It was very interesting that the Lord came with a message of hope and restoration. The world sees Detroit as dead, but God has a different plan. We head out to Flint, MI tonight but then are back at Detroit Revival Church Sunday night! Enjoy the photos…
Episode 6 is out, and it’s a good one! Join us this week as we review Port Blue and Joshua James. Make sure to become a fan of ours on Facebook and subscribe to the podcast via iTunes. To listen to the podcast online go to our Mevio page. I had the awesome privilege to tour the studios of the following Philadelphia radio stations: 93.3 WMMR, 95.7 BENFM, and 97.5 THE FANATIC. Thanks to my professor’s connections our “Writing for the Media” course was provided an inside look at how these stations function, both in the business and organization sense. It is interesting to hear what it takes to survive in this rapidly changing media world. Special thanks to those at the Greater Media Company for opening your space to us. On the audio side of things it was stinkin awesome to see how radio works. I’ve had a good bit of experience in live, studio, and church broadcast sound, but have never done anything with radio. Enjoy the photo album. So, I’m going on tour! I’ll be with Radiant Nation Ministries and the Radiant Worship Band from April 16-25 on an East Coast ministry tour. I will be operating primarily as front of house engineer but will also get the opportunity to shoot some video and pray for and minister to youth and young adults. I am extremely excited about the opportunity and look forward to what God will do. I will be sure to update the blog as much as I can with video and images but plan to update twitter multiple times a day, so be sure you are following me there! We will be in the following cities:
For more information see the Radiant’s Facebook page. If you happen to be in one of these cities or know someone who is, please let me know. |
